  Seasonal Wildlife Technician

 

 

Assist lead Wildlife Biologist in conducting various wildlife surveys on Tribal lands.  Job timeline is mid April to the end of July 2010.  Must be an enrolled or recent graduate of a 4-year degree in wildlife or a related field.  Familiar with fundamental survey techniques (point-counts, trapping methods, etc.)  Ability to ID (visual and audio) wildlife speciaes across multiple taxa.  Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Acess.  GIS and GPS skills strongly desirable.  Must be able to walk extensively, carry up to 50 lbs, etc.  Experience operating motorized boats and ATVs.  Must pass background and drug screening.  Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurability. This is a drug free work environment. Indian Preference applies in accordance with Sec. 7(b) P.L.93-638.
