Public Safety

The Public Safety Department's (PSD) jurisdiction extends to members and geographical limits of the property owned or under control of Prairie Island Indian Community. 

It is our duty to partner with Community Members in order to protect life and property, prevent crime, apprehend  criminals, preserve peace, and regulate auto, foot, ant ATV traffic. 

We also provide specialized services such as, probation and emergency preparedness.

Our goal is working  together, to identify and resolve community problems.
